About our Center
The FertilityCare™ Center of Kansas City was officially incorporated in 1982 and was then known as Natural Family Planning of Greater Kansas City. The purpose was, and continues to be, to provide the highest quality instruction in natural family planning (NFP) through education in the Creighton Model, now the Creighton Model FertilityCare System, a System which meets and exceeds the National Standards of the United States of Catholic Bishops' Diocesan Development Program for Natural Family Planning.
Because of the standardization of the method, great advances have been made by researchers under the leadership of Dr. Thomas W. Hilgers, at the Pope Paul VI Institute, Omaha, NE (www.popepaulvi.com) in the identification and treatment of many reproductive disorders afflicting women from adolescence to menopause. To reflect those medical advances the current name was adopted in 1999.
The FertilityCare™ Center of Kansas City is a charter member of FertilityCare™ Centers of America which was founded in 1999 and a charter member of the American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals since 1982. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Our Mission
The Kansas City FertilityCare™ Center exists to provide women and couples in the Kansas City metro area and St. Joseph area with a thorough understanding of their fertility, using the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System, so that they are enabled to make informed decisions about their reproductive and gynecological health.
