Why should men care about the Creighton Model System?

Last time we checked, it takes two people to make a baby. While typical contraception places a burden on one partner or the other to bear the load of avoiding pregnancy, using a method of natural family planning requires the couple to work together to learn about their mutual fertility.

Once learning about how the Creighton Model works and its effectiveness either to achieve or avoid pregnancy, men are often very supportive of using a cooperative system which requires no physical barriers between them, no artificial hormones in the body of the woman that he loves (causing potential side effects ranging from headaches to blood clots and everything in between), and no potentially abortifacient (abortion causing) chemicals or devices..

Does using a natural system require sacrifice and self control? Yes. Will it always be the easiest thing you've ever done? No. But we believe that some things are worth putting in a little extra effort, and marriage and sexuality is one of them.

We encourage all men to be active in learning and using the Creighton Model FertilityCare System by attending follow ups with their significant other, learning about charting, and being active in family planning discussions. After all, it takes two to tango.
